New background for my Blogger

Today I asked  myself a question how to insert my background in blogger.

Well, first we need to select the picture.
It must be JPG, GIF or PING format, no larger than 300 kb and max 1800x1600px.

I chose a smaller version of my own illustration. By the way, it is in stock here:

Sea Theme Background by Northseapics

Then we will need to go to Settings => Template => Configure => Background => Background Image => Here we need to click on the arrow to the right of the photo. A popup window will appear => To upload an image => Review => Choose the file on your computer => OK.

When the file is selected, it remains to edit image location on the page.
If the file size does not match 1800x1600px you can, for example, choose "Tile"

The dimensions of my illustration is different from standard proportions (remember, 1800x1600px), so I lined the upper-left corner, and chose "tile".
Since my background is seamless (infinite) vertically, I quietly chose the option "scroll with page".
If your background is not endless vertical, it is better if it doesn't scroll. A check box is better left blank.

Experiment with position of the picture on the page. By scrolling in the bottom of the screen you can see the preview. The alignment tool is intuitive and simple. Play with the settings and enjoy the result.

Vector illustrations. In what format?

I stopped to upload images in the .EPS8 format.
Just stopped
Despite the fact that I don't use a gradient in my vector illustrations, I begin to load .EPS10. Only EPS10.

In fairness, I should say that on Istock I added the archive with PSD and AI files for regular EPS10 and JPEG.

Actually, I'm always interested in whether these formats. Or upload, for example, PNG or PDF? I've heard that some authors do.

Something (...or maybe Someone?) adorable

After a lo-o-o-o-ong break I upload my vector images again.
I have created a small collection of cute eggs characters. I think they're adorable! Digging in my portfolio, you can find them all.
It gives me great pleasure to create something like that.

P.S.  Halloween is coming.
But I have new Easter pictures...
And how to understand my inspiration?..

Happy Holidays! - new lightbox

I decided to create lightbox, where I will hold all of my Celebration vector illustrations.
First I was thinking, that lightbox will contain only Christmas illustrations. But later I decided to put there: Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, Wedding and other thematic vector illustrations, patterns and backgrounds.
Following the rules of the iStock, I could do this lightbox public. I needed to put one picture from another illustrator in the collection. It is for the better. Collection became larger and even more interesting.

The cover of "Happy Holidays!" lightbox is quite nice :)

When I created the cover of this lightbox, I used two of my Halloween vector illustrations.
If you liked them, they both сan be purchased by you at iStock Gallery!
When you click on the picture you will get to a page of the lightbox on iStock.

I will be extremely glad, as a pumpkin on this cover, if you like my work :)
Thank You!

New especially useful lightbox

New especially useful lightbox on my iStock page.

As time goes by...
I would like to do better on my iStock.
To help buyers, I made a lightbox, which put my work at the cost of only 1 credit.
Everyone knows that if
iStock assesses the performance of a 1-credit, it does not mean that the work is bad. Bad work iStock simply do not get :) This means, for example, that the illustration does not contain too much detail or different parts.

And so, welcome to my new lightbox "1 credit illustrations"!

UPD: I have added new information about the price of vector illustrations. How I missed the lower prices on Istock. Simplified pricing on Istock.

I recently signed up on Behance. Not quite sure that it is really useful to me. Time will tell.

Mosquito here, mosquito there...

One night in August was unusually "mosquito". The whole family slept badly out of the common.

The next day, everyone began to show a "post-mosquito" mood. My son pleased me with a story about African mosquitoes, and I sat down to work, was not able to draw nothing but a mosquito))
And I was really so angry at the mosquitoes that my character was drawn as an alcoholic tramp.

Pointer with the words "Human" has a double meaning. The first option is obvious - the arrow points in the direction of the mosquito food. But there is a second version, social: stray insect can choose an alternative way and become a human))
